A303 Stonehenge Consultation 2018
The Alliance is preparing a response to the current consultation which ends on 6 April 2018. Meanwhile, we have made some non-technical suggestions that could be included in your response today.
About our campaign
The UK Government plans to spend £2 billion widening the A303 to the South West. The dual carriageway would cross the iconic Stonehenge World Heritage Site (WHS) in a short tunnel with massive portals causing permanent harm within a landscape that is considered “the most archaeologically significant land surface in Europe without parallel”. The Stonehenge Alliance opposes any further damage to our ancient landscape.
